6.7. Glide Range

`Glide Range` shows reachable areas and suitable airports based on the selected aircraft and glide settings.

Enable Glide Range

1. Open `En Route`.
2. Open `Overlays`.
3. Turn on `Glide Range`.
4. Press the `Glide Range` button in the left-side dock.
5. Review the range shading and airport markers on the map.
   

Settings

• Use `Refresh` to reload glide range data.
• Set `Min runway (metres)` to filter suitable airports.
• Use `Require Runway Lighting` when you only want airports with lighting.
• Exclude airports from the results when required.
• Use `Restore all` to show excluded airports again.
  

Airport Markers

• Airport marker colours show airport capability and reachability.
• The legend explains base range, extended range, and airport marker colours.
  

!Glide range depends on aircraft data, map data, and current settings. Review aircraft glide performance and operational conditions before relying on the result.
