5.3. Import Aircraft

Use `Import` to import an AvPlan aircraft file.

Import

1. Open `Aircraft`.
2. Press `Import`.
3. Select an `.xml` or `.ac` aircraft file.
4. Wait for the import to finish.
5. Select the imported aircraft and review the details.
6. Press `Save` if you make changes.
   

Import Checks

• The file must be an AvPlan aircraft file.
• If the file is invalid, the page will show `Invalid aircraft file`.
• If the import succeeds, the page will show `Aircraft imported`.
  

!Imported aircraft should still be checked before use in planning. Review Type, units, weights, W&B, performance, fuel, and aircraft defaults.
