Type details affect every aircraft under that Type. Use this page for ICAO/type-wide settings, not individual aircraft (ie. callsigns).

Open Type Settings

  1. Open `Aircraft`.
  2. Select a Type or aircraft from the list.
  3. If viewing an individual aircraft, press `Show All Type Settings`.

Type Information

  • `Type` is the aircraft type/model text.
  • `ICAO` is the ICAO aircraft type code.
  • `Description` is the display description.
  • `Performance Category` and `Wake Turbulence Category` are used for flight planning and filing.
  • `POH URL` can store a link to the aircraft handbook.
  • `Aircraft Icon` controls the icon used for the Type.

Units

  • `Weight Units` controls displayed weight units.
  • `Fuel Units` controls displayed fuel units.
  • `Fuel Type` controls the fuel type.
  • `Fuel Specific Gravity` is used for fuel weight calculations.
  • `Fuel Cost` is used for cost estimates.
  • `Arm Units` controls W&B arm units.

Weights

  • `MTOW` is max take-off weight.
  • `MLW` is max landing weight.
  • `MZFW` is max zero fuel weight.
  • `Max Ramp` is max ramp weight.

Save

  1. Make required changes.
  2. Press `Save`.
  3. Confirm the change is reflected in Planning and Aircraft Loading.
