AvPlan EFB On The Web

For years, AvPlan EFB has been built first and foremost for pilots – fast, reliable, and deeply integrated into real-world flying. From flight planning and weather to fuel, weight & balance, and in-flight awareness, our focus has always been the cockpit.

Now, we’re bringing that same philosophy to the web.

So… where are we at?

The short version: well underway – and doing it properly.

AvPlan EFB on the web isn’t about throwing together a basic “viewer” or a cut-down companion. We’re building a robust, high-performance web platform that genuinely complements the mobile experience, while opening up powerful new workflows that simply make more sense on a larger screen.

Behind the scenes, much of the heavy lifting is already in place:

  • A modern, scalable backend designed for serious aviation data workloads
  • Shared logic and data models with our mobile apps, so results stay consistent everywhere
  • A foundation that supports complex planning, weather analysis, and aircraft-specific performance

In other words, this isn’t a prototype – it’s a proper extension of the AvPlan ecosystem.

What will the web version be great at?

The web platform is being designed with pre-flight and big-picture planning in mind. Think:

  • Comfortable route planning and optimisation on a full-size display
  • Easier comparison of weather, winds, terrain, and alternates
  • Managing flight plans, aircraft, pilots, and data without being limited to a tablet screen
  • A natural fit for flight schools, charter, RPT, dispatch environments, and serious trip preparation

And yes – it will feel fast. Performance is not negotiable for us.

We’re deliberately taking the time to make sure the web experience lives up to the standard set by our mobile apps – because once you trust something with flight planning, trust matters more than release dates.

For users of our Command Flight Planner product, Champagne Flight Planner 3000 or other desktop based flight planners, we have your back. AvPlan EFB Web will be a natural transition for all your desktop flight planning needs.

Why we’re genuinely excited

The web platform unlocks a lot of long-term possibilities:

  • Seamless hand-off between desktop planning and cockpit execution
  • More powerful data visualisation and analysis tools
  • Better support for advanced operations, fleets, and enterprise users

Most importantly, it allows AvPlan to grow without losing what makes it AvPlan – clarity, accuracy, and pilot-first design.

What’s next?

You’ll start seeing more progress updates as features come together and the experience takes shape. We’re looking forward to sharing previews, getting feedback, and continuing to build this alongside the pilot community that’s shaped AvPlan from day one.

The future of AvPlan EFB isn’t just mobile – it’s everywhere you plan to fly.
