AvPlan automatically saves all downloaded weather information – it does this unobtrusively in the background as and when required. When accessing any weather or NOTAM information it refers to this source if it is recent, or schedules more weather information to be collected.
All this is done using your NAIPS details, therefor ensuring that there is an audit able record that you received the appropriate weather briefings before flight.
AvPlan 2.0 extends this even further. When viewing METAR’s is enabled, just panning around the map will download the appropriate weather and NOTAM’s (and then display these graphically.)
